Goal of the game

In Kezao, you try to be the first to win 3 rounds. You win a round by being the first to play all your cards. At the start of a round, each player receives a set of cards, each with 1 to 6 colors. Two dice determine which colors must or must not appear on the cards you are allowed to play. Each round you win earns you 1 point; once you have 3 points, you win the game. The short rounds (approximately 3–5 minutes) keep up a fast pace and keep everyone sharp.

How to play

Each player receives 7 cards at the start of the round; the rest form a facedown draw pile in the center of the table. The cards show illustrations with multiple colors; in addition, there are jokers that you may play at any time, regardless of the dice combination. On your turn, you choose 2 of the 4 colored dice and roll them to determine which colors must or must not appear on the cards you can play. You and your fellow players then try to quickly and skillfully lay down cards that precisely meet these color conditions.

If you play a card that does not meet the restrictions, you must take that card back and draw 3 new cards – your turn ends immediately. The round ends as soon as a player has played all their cards and thereby earns 1 point. Thanks to the clear rules and short playtime, Kezao is a quick and dynamic game. Ideal for multiple rounds in a row.
